Holy Day: The Anniversary of The Ascension of Baha’u’llah on 5/29/1892: Azamat 13, 179 B.E. (5/29/2022)

Today the human world is in need of a great power by which these glorious principles and purposes may be executed. The cause of peace is a very great cause; it is the Cause of God, and all the forces of the world are opposed to it. Governments, for instance, consider militarism as the step to human progress, that division among men and nations is the cause of patriotism and honor, that if one nation attack and conquer another, gaining wealth, territory and glory thereby, this warfare and conquest, this bloodshed and cruelty are the cause of that victorious nation’s advancement and prosperity. This is an utter mistake. Compare the nations of the world to the members of a family. A family is a nation in miniature. Simply enlarge the circle of the household, and you have the nation. Enlarge the circle of nations, and you have all humanity. The conditions surrounding the family surround the nation. The happenings in the family are the happenings in the life of the nation. Would it add to the progress and advancement of a family if dissensions should arise among its members, all fighting, pillaging each other, jealous and revengeful of injury, seeking selfish advantage? Nay, this would be the cause of the effacement of progress and advancement. So it is in the great family of nations, for nations are but an aggregate of families. Therefore, as strife and dissension destroy a family and prevent its progress, so nations are destroyed and advancement hindered.

All the heavenly Books, divine Prophets, sages and philosophers agree that warfare is destructive to human development, and peace constructive. They agree that war and strife strike at the foundations of humanity. Therefore, a power is needed to prevent war and to proclaim and establish the oneness of humanity.

But knowledge of the need of this power is not sufficient. Realizing that wealth is desirable is not becoming wealthy. The admission that scientific attainment is praiseworthy does not confer scientific knowledge. Acknowledgment of the excellence of honor does not make a man honorable. Knowledge of human conditions and the needed remedy for them is not the cause of their betterment. To admit that health is good does not constitute health. A skilled physician is needed to remedy existing human conditions. As a physician is required to have complete knowledge of pathology, diagnosis, therapeutics and treatment, so this World Physician must be wise, skillful and capable before health will result. His mere knowledge is not health; it must be applied and the remedy carried out.

The Fatherhood of God, His loving-kindness and beneficence are apparent to all. In His mercy He provides fully and amply for His creatures, and if any soul sins, He does not suspend His bounty. All created things are visible manifestations of His Fatherhood, mercy and heavenly bestowals. Human brotherhood is, likewise, as clear and evident as the sun, for all are servants of one God, belong to one humankind, inhabit the same globe, are sheltered beneath the overshadowing dome of heaven and submerged in the sea of divine mercy. Human brotherhood and dependence exist because mutual helpfulness and cooperation are the two necessary principles underlying human welfare. This is the physical relationship of mankind. There is another brotherhood—the spiritual—which is higher, holier and superior to all others. It is heavenly; it emanates from the breaths of the Holy Spirit and the effulgence of merciful attributes; it is founded upon spiritual susceptibilities. This brotherhood is established by the Manifestations of the Holy One.

Praise be to God! The springtime of God is at hand. This century is, verily, the spring season. The world of mind and kingdom of soul have become fresh and verdant by its bestowals. It has resuscitated the whole realm of existence. On one hand, the lights of reality are shining; on the other, the clouds of divine mercy are pouring down the fullness of heavenly bounty. Wonderful material progress is evident, and great spiritual discoveries are being made. Truly, this can be called the miracle of centuries, for it is replete with manifestations of the miraculous. The time has come when all mankind shall be united, when all races shall be loyal to one fatherland, all religions become one religion, and racial and religious bias pass away. It is a day in which the oneness of humankind shall uplift its standard and international peace, like the true morning, flood the world with its light. Therefore, we offer supplications to God, asking Him to dispel these gloomy clouds and uproot these imitations in order that the East and West may become radiant with love and unity, that the nations of the world shall embrace each other and the ideal spiritual brotherhood illumine the world like the glorious sun of the high heavens. This is our hope, our wish and desire. We pray that through the bounty and grace of God we may attain thereto. I am very happy to be present at this meeting which has innate radiance, intelligence, perception and longing to investigate reality. Such meetings are the glory of the world of mankind. I ask the blessing of God in your behalf.

Holy Day: The Anniversary of the Declaration of The Bab. Azamat 7, 179 B.E. (5/23/2022)

Monday, May 23rd, 2022

Scientific knowledge is the highest attainment upon the human plane, for science is the discoverer of realities. It is of two kinds: material and spiritual. Material science is the investigation of natural phenomena; divine science is the discovery and realization of spiritual verities. The world of humanity must acquire both. A bird has two wings; it cannot fly with one. Material and spiritual science are the two wings of human uplift and attainment. Both are necessary—one the natural, the other supernatural; one material, the other divine. By the divine we mean the discovery of the mysteries of God, the comprehension of spiritual realities, the wisdom of God, inner significances of the heavenly religions and foundation of the law.

This is 23 May, the anniversary of the message and Declaration of the Báb. It is a blessed day and the dawn of manifestation, for the appearance of the Báb was the early light of the true morn, whereas the manifestation of the Blessed Beauty, Bahá’u’lláh, was the shining forth of the sun. Therefore, it is a blessed day, the inception of the heavenly bounty, the beginning of the divine effulgence. On this day in 1844 the Báb was sent forth heralding and proclaiming the Kingdom of God, announcing the glad tidings of the coming of Bahá’u’lláh and withstanding the opposition of the whole Persian nation. Some of the Persians followed Him. For this they suffered the most grievous difficulties and severe ordeals. They withstood the tests with wonderful power and sublime heroism. Thousands were cast into prison, punished, persecuted and martyred. Their homes were pillaged and destroyed, their possessions confiscated. They sacrificed their lives most willingly and remained unshaken in their faith to the very end. Those wonderful souls are the lamps of God, the stars of sanctity shining gloriously from the eternal horizon of the will of God.

The Báb was subjected to bitter persecution in Shíráz, where He first proclaimed His mission and message. A period of famine afflicted that region, and the Báb journeyed to Iṣfahán. There the learned men rose against Him in great hostility. He was arrested and sent to Tabríz. From thence He was transferred to Mákú and finally imprisoned in the strong castle of Chihríq. Afterward He was martyred in Tabríz.

This is merely an outline of the history of the Báb. He withstood all persecutions and bore every suffering and ordeal with unflinching strength. The more His enemies endeavored to extinguish that flame, the brighter it became. Day by day His Cause spread and strengthened. During the time when He was among the people He was constantly heralding the coming of Bahá’u’lláh. In all His Books and Tablets He mentioned Bahá’u’lláh and announced the glad tidings of His manifestation, prophesying that He would reveal Himself in the ninth year. He said that in the ninth year “you will attain to all happiness”; in the ninth year “you will be blessed with the meeting of the Promised One of Whom I have spoken.” He mentioned the Blessed Perfection, Bahá’u’lláh, by the title “Him Whom God shall make manifest.” In brief, that blessed Soul offered His very life in the pathway of Bahá’u’lláh, even as it is recorded in historical writings and records. In His first Book, the Best of Stories, He says, “O Remnant of God! I am wholly sacrificed to Thee; I am content with curses in Thy path; I crave nought but to be slain in Thy love; and God, the Supreme, sufficeth as an eternal protection.”

Consider how the Báb endured difficulties and tribulations; how He gave His life in the Cause of God; how He was attracted to the love of the Blessed Beauty, Bahá’u’lláh; and how He announced the glad tidings of His manifestation. We must follow His heavenly example; we must be self-sacrificing and aglow with the fire of the love of God. We must partake of the bounty and grace of the Lord, for the Báb has admonished us to arise in service to the Cause of God, to be absolutely severed from all else save God during the day of the Blessed Perfection, Bahá’u’lláh, to be completely attracted by the love of Bahá’u’lláh, to love all humanity for His sake, to be lenient and merciful to all for Him and to upbuild the oneness of the world of humanity. Therefore, this day, 23 May, is the anniversary of a blessed event.

Baha’i Sabbath: Azamat 4, 179 B.E. (5/20/2022)

Friday, May 20th, 2022

In reality, God has created all mankind, and in the estimation of God there is no distinction as to male and female. The one whose heart is pure is acceptable in His sight, be that one man or woman. God does not inquire, “Art thou woman or art thou man?” He judges human actions. If these are acceptable in the threshold of the Glorious One, man and woman will be equally recognized and rewarded.

Furthermore, the education of woman is more necessary and important than that of man, for woman is the trainer of the child from its infancy. If she be defective and imperfect herself, the child will necessarily be deficient; therefore, imperfection of woman implies a condition of imperfection in all mankind, for it is the mother who rears, nurtures and guides the growth of the child. This is not the function of the father. If the educator be incompetent, the educated will be correspondingly lacking. This is evident and incontrovertible. Could the student be brilliant and accomplished if the teacher is illiterate and ignorant? The mothers are the first educators of mankind; if they be imperfect, alas for the condition and future of the race.

Baha’i Month: Azamat/Grandeur 1, 179 B.E. (5/17/2022)

Wednesday, May 18th, 2022

The question has been asked: Will the spiritual progress of the world equal and keep pace with material progress in the future? In a living organism the full measure of its development is not known or realized at the time of its inception or birth. Development and progression imply gradual stages or degrees. For example, spiritual advancement may be likened to the light of the early dawn. Although this dawn light is dim and pale, a wise man who views the march of the sunrise at its very beginning can foretell the ascendancy of the sun in its full glory and effulgence. He knows for a certainty that it is the beginning of its manifestation and that later it will assume great power and potency. Again, for example, if he takes a seed and observes that it is sprouting, he will know assuredly that it will ultimately become a tree. Now is the beginning of the manifestation of the spiritual power, and inevitably the potency of its life forces will assume greater and greater proportions. Therefore, this twentieth century is the dawn, or beginning, of spiritual illumination, and it is evident that day by day it will advance. It will reach such a degree that spiritual effulgences will overcome the physical, so that divine susceptibilities will overpower material intelligence and the heavenly light dispel and banish earthly darkness. Divine healing shall purify all ills, and the cloud of mercy will pour down its rain. The Sun of Reality will shine, and all the earth shall put on its beautiful green carpet. Among the results of the manifestation of spiritual forces will be that the human world will adapt itself to a new social form, the justice of God will become manifest throughout human affairs, and human equality will be universally established. The poor will receive a great bestowal, and the rich attain eternal happiness. For although at the present time the rich enjoy the greatest luxury and comfort, they are nevertheless deprived of eternal happiness; for eternal happiness is contingent upon giving, and the poor are everywhere in the state of abject need. Through the manifestation of God’s great equity the poor of the world will be rewarded and assisted fully, and there will be a readjustment in the economic conditions of mankind so that in the future there will not be the abnormally rich nor the abject poor. The rich will enjoy the privilege of this new economic condition as well as the poor, for owing to certain provisions and restrictions they will not be able to accumulate so much as to be burdened by its management, while the poor will be relieved from the stress of want and misery. The rich will enjoy his palace, and the poor will have his comfortable cottage.

The essence of the matter is that divine justice will become manifest in human conditions and affairs, and all mankind will find comfort and enjoyment in life. It is not meant that all will be equal, for inequality in degree and capacity is a property of nature. Necessarily there will be rich people and also those who will be in want of their livelihood, but in the aggregate community there will be equalization and readjustment of values and interests. In the future there will be no very rich nor extremely poor. There will be an equilibrium of interests, and a condition will be established which will make both rich and poor comfortable and content. This will be an eternal and blessed outcome of the glorious twentieth century which will be realized universally. The significance of it is that the glad tidings of great joy revealed in the promises of the Holy Books will be fulfilled. Await ye this consummation.

The powers of earth cannot withstand the privileges and bestowals which God has ordained for this great and glorious century. It is a need and exigency of the time. Man can withstand anything except that which is divinely intended and indicated for the age and its requirements. Now—praise be to God!—in all countries of the world, lovers of peace are to be found, and these principles are being spread among mankind, especially in this country. Praise be to God! This thought is prevailing, and souls are continually arising as defenders of the oneness of humanity, endeavoring to assist and establish international peace. There is no doubt that this wonderful democracy will be able to realize it, and the banner of international agreement will be unfurled here to spread onward and outward among all the nations of the world. I give thanks to God that I find you imbued with such susceptibilities and lofty aspirations, and I hope that you will be the means of spreading this light to all men. Thus may the Sun of Reality shine upon the East and West. The enveloping clouds shall pass away, and the heat of the divine rays will dispel the mist. The reality of man shall develop and come forth as the image of God, his Creator. The thoughts of man shall take such upward flight that former accomplishments shall appear as the play of children, for the ideas and beliefs of the past and the prejudices regarding race and religion have ever lowered and been destructive to human evolution.

Now that war is illegal, the time has come to elect the Supreme Tribunal that can enforce and prevent it.

The US, Russia, France and England will be the first four to do this and agree as charter members, as they were with the UN, which has failed.

The greatest human achievement in the 20th Century was making war illegal in 1928. The greatest human achievement of the 21st Century will be electing the Supreme Tribunal, the establishment of a fair and just Universal Collective Security Agreement, and a viable prevention remedy and enforcement of the 1928 International Covenant of Peace.

The Centenary of the Peace Covenant (Kellogg-Briand 1928-2028) will see humanity overcome the obstacles that ruined the false starts at the World Court, the League of Nations, and the UN, to form a more perfect union between the nation-states who will charter and form the Supreme Tribunal that shall bring peace to the world.

Spread the good news! War is illegal as of 1928. Elect the Supreme Tribunal!

We can no longer live in societies that remain in violation of the Covenant of 1928.

All nations are bound legally by the 1928 Peace Covenant, and all citizens of those countries, are held personally responsible to uphold it. Those individuals who violated the Covenant of 1928 were all found guilty of breaking the Covenant when they started WWII and were tried and prosecuted in the Nuremberg hearings. Every American citizen as of 1929 is bound by this Peace Covenant. People need to know this. We are all united globally in this agreement. If everyone knew this, we could elect the Supreme Tribunal to enforce and maintain real peace founded upon Justice. Therefore every one should be informed of this fact, so we can come out of violation to uphold the provisions of the peace Covenant as individuals and collectively as states.

Not until this fact of the peace Covenant of 1928 and its true implementation in the elected Supreme Tribunal is brought forward to the forefront of knowledge in the minds of every citizen of the planet and is made clearly known to all, will the change take place to “LEARN war no more.” (Is. 2:4)

Therefore everyone needs to know about the 1928 Covenant of peace and the Supreme Tribunal remedy. Spread the news, the good news about it. We are all now in the valley of decision in the Ukraine crisis. This is the tipping point at the turn of the Centenary, the turning of the tide at the start of this new millennium.

The Cause of peace and justice for all will prevail. It shall prevail because that is simply who we really are–real human beings. People who actually have hearts, minds and souls who care, and who value human life, who uphold the unity of Spirit in the Oneness of all human kind, and who condemn violence and aggression in all its forms. Real human beings are now the majority on the planet. May the leadership establish the durable peace, by truly representing the best interests of the people, and not the so-called “special interests” of the war machine.

The war machine is polluting the world, destroying international trade and commerce, burning fossil fuels (oil and gas), exterminating human life and needs to be turned off. War got us to where we are now, and outlawing it in 1928, has gotten us even further. Now that war has preformed its necessary function in the nation-state period of the building of civilization it is now time to let it go, and change gears to the non-violent path of cooperation to survive and thrive. Following the US Civil War, the states embraced cooperation to survive and this nation is powerful, strong, and greater than it has ever been as a result. Thus the problems and obstacles are even greater than the past, and the capacity of the people, our strength and fortitude to overcome, is equal to match the current challenge.

This world civil war will result in all nations overcoming and the Golden Age of human civilization shall be established for the planet and all peoples once and for all time. What a great day to be alive! Yesterday saw war outlawed and the Covenant of Peace established. Today shall see its perfect implementation and just administration in the Supreme Tribunal. In merely 100 years, in our day today, we shall see the causes for war permanently removed and the peaceful resolution of disputes become the new norm. What great work this is! What a great moment to be present! What great power and ability we now have, to make the living dream the waking reality of love and spiritual brotherhood for all human kind.

70 million were killed in WWII. Two billion can be killed in one hour of thermonuclear war. Now, in the face of this threat, we are all united and motivated to preserve life, and life abundantly, to avoid this obvious catastrophe. We know what we don’t want: war. What we do want is peace. But as peace on earth without justice is tyranny, what we want and need is the manifest JUSTICE of the real Supreme Tribunal, not fakes, frauds and imitations like the World Court, the League of Nations, or the UN.

Elect the Supreme Tribunal!

Bring peace thru justice to all humankind! Let the nations agree. Make all people firm in the Covenant, starting with our own selves, firm in upholding the 1928 International Covenant of Peace.

Baha’u’llah was exiled from Baghdad, Iraq, during these days of Ridvan, and traveled by Howdah in a caravan of exiles for 110 days until they reached the vicinity and shore of the Black Sea on August 6 and August 9. Asked to reveal a Tablet, He revealed the Tablet of the Howdah in connection with His prior revelation of the Tablet of the Holy Mariner.

The tale is a tale of the many and horrific violations of the Covenant (symbolized by huris) the world would see from that time until today. The Great Panoramic Vision at the Black Sea (Lawh-i Howdaj) we are all witnessing now. The center of lands and crossroads between East and West in Ukraine has called all of our attention to global fighting everywhere now at this time. Even Three Kings Day in the US (1-6-21) saw violence in the streets of DC and upon the room where the ballot box was kept.

The violation of this Covenant (1928 Kellogg-Briand Paris Peace Covenant) “she threw herself upon the dust” is depicted in moving and prophetic imagery by Baha’u’llah, and as the ” Hands” violated the Baha’i Covenant, the nations were influenced to violate the Covenant of 1928.

This isn’t about blaming. It’s about personal accountability. The blood of the people is literally upon the hands of those “Hands.”

The Baha’is were entrusted with the Covenant of Baha’u’llah to help bring about world peace as another New and burgeoning community among the family of mankind. Through their efforts, the Cause of Baha’u’llah (the Oneness of Humanity and peace on earth) was very successful. War was outlawed in 1928 during the first 7 years of the Guardianship of Shoghi Effendi, and Baha’u’llah’s novel idea of a Supreme Tribunal for the peaceful settlement of disputes between the nation’s was imitated three times in the World Court, the League of Nations, and the UN.

During His lifetime, He not only announced the abolition of war, but also the abolition of slavery. His call was immediately answered by Czar Alexander and Abraham Lincoln who worked together to end both slavery and serfdom in their own countries. See what a success Baha’u’llah is! Look at the influence of one human being, a prisoner and exile for life, for this wonderful idea to abolish slavery and war, and to form a Supreme Tribunal for the peaceful resolution of differences between nations.

And we, as human beings, should always give credit where credit is due. If nothing else, as Einstein is credited with e=mc2, and Madame Curie worked with radiation, and “my sweet lord” is the music of John Mack; so Baha’u’llah is the source of the Supreme Tribunal remedy for the world’s ills. Yet most are not aware of this, or what He really was all about and stood for. For example why was He banished and held in the most maximum security prison in the entire Ottoman Empire, with the order that no one was allowed to speak to Him at any time, and perpetual confinement for ever? What did He do? What crime did He commit?

The crime He committed was that when asked how He ever came up with so marvelous an idea to outlaw war and so novel a vision to elect the Supreme Tribunal, His answer was that He didn’t, it was not His idea at all. In fact, He said, it is God’s Idea, a Plan of God, for man, and that it came from God and not from Him. So He was jailed, beaten, banished, exiled, imprisoned, poisoned, slandered, humiliated, and disgraced. Why? For promoting the Oneness of Humanity, the end of wars, and advocating spirituality and the peaceful settlement of disputes.

The Baha’is were given a Covenant to continue His work. When the Hands broke the Baha’i Covenant in the years 1957-1960, we are now seeing the collapse of the UN, Bretton Woods, IMF, World Bank system, set up during the days of Shoghi Effendi and Abdu’l-Baha’s son Mason Remey Aghsan. The Hands broke this Covenant, and 60 years later we taste the physical and material ramifications of this violation.

Like the majority of people who are ignorant of the provisions and legally binding authority of the 1928 Covenant of International World Peace (including myself until the day of the bonfire at Abdu’l-Baha’s shrine this Jalal 1, 179 BE)–the majority of all Baha’is remain ignorant of the provisions of the 1921 Covenant of the sacred Will and Testament of Abdu’l-Baha and how it is fulfilled and fully operational and in operation now. In fact the first century of the Covenant (1921- 2021) demonstrates that it is always in effect and in fully working order. Nevertheless all the people of the world are bound to the Covenant of 1928, and the Baha’is firm in the Covenant of 1921, are continuing the important work that Baha’u’llah initiated according to the free and open principles He proclaimed that all humanity is one family, and all should love one another as members of a single household.

Elect the Supreme Tribunal!

Uphold the 1928 Covenant of Peace!

A Tablet of the Feast of Ridvan

Revealed by Baha’u’llah

HE IS THE ALMIGHTY LORD!

Lo, this is the garden of Paradise wherein is raised the Voice of God, the Dominant, the Strong; Here do the immaculate Maids of Heaven dwell, they whom no eye hath seen save only God’s, the Sanctified, the Well-Beloved; Herein the eternal nightingale singeth on the bough of the sacred Lote-Tree a song that bedazzaleth the minds, and herein are the needy led to the haven of wealth, and all men guided to the Word of God; verily this is a manifest truth.

Here is the song that the nightingale singeth;

IN THY NAME THAT IS GOD,

Thou art verily God!
O sacred Monk, ring out the bells, for the day of God hath come, and the Beauty of the All-Glorious is established on the holy, shining throne.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O prophet of wisdom, Hud, beat thou upon thy drum, in the name of the Lord, the Precious, the Bountiful, for the Temple of Holiness is seated upon His high, unapproachable throne.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O Thou beauty of eternity, pluck with the fingers of the spirit at the strings of Thy lute that is wondrous and Holy, for the Heavenly Beauty hath come in His garment of glimmering silk.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O angel of light, sound thou thy trumpet to herald this appearance, for the letter HA hath mounted above the letter of pre-existent might.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O Nightingale of Praise, sing out upon thy boughs within this garden and land, the well-beloved Name, for the beauty of the red rose hath shone from the impenetrable veils.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O Thou Dove of Paradise, sing upon the boughs in this wondrous day, when the Lord hath cast His rays upon all creatures.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O Thou Bird of Eternity, soar into this firmament, for the bird of faithfulness hath winged his flight to the presence of the merciful Lord.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O Dwellers in Paradise, sing out and chant with melodious voices, for the melody of God is pealing from beyond the high pavilions of holiness.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O denizens of the Kingdom, sing in the name of the Well-beloved, for the beauty of commandment hath gleamed from behind the veils, in the shining mantle of the spirit.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O dwellers in the kingdom of names, adorn the zones of the furthermost heaven, for the Greatest Name is riding on the mighty clouds of holiness.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O people of the realm of holy attributes in the heaven of Abha, prepare to meet your God, for the breezes of sanctity have wafted from the exalted throne, and this is a manifest grace.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O thou Ridwan of the one God, rejoice within thyself, for the Ridwan of God, the Exalted, the Precious, the Wise, is made manifest.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O heaven of the grandeur, thank God within thyself, for the heaven of holiness is raised up in the realm of the sanctified heart.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O Sun of this earth, eclipse thy face, for the sun of eternity hath dawned in the luminous heaven.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O land of knowledge, swallow up thy learning, for the realm of wisdom is unfolding in the self of God., the Exalted, the Mighty, the Bountiful.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O lamp of the world, extinguish thyself, for the light of the Lord is kindled in the lamp of eternity, and hath illumined the denizens of heaven and earth.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O seas of the world, quiet your waves within you, for the crimson sea hath surged with a wondrous Cause.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O cock of everlasting life, crow out on the peaks of the realm of might, for the Herald of God hath sounded His Call from every lofty hill.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O concourse of lovers, give out the glad tidings with all your heart, for the time of waiting is over, and the covenant hath come, and the Beloved hath shone in wondrous beauty.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

O people of knowledge, rejoice within your souls, for the day of parting is gone by, the time of certainty hath come, and the beauty of this Youth hath shone in sacred raiment within the paradise of the steadfast Name.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

Lauded art Thou O my God! I implore Thee by Thy day in which all the prophetic days are resurrected, Thy day whereof a moment comprehendeth all the ages.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

And I implore Thee by Thy Name which Thou made king of the Kingdom of Names and ruler over all in earth and heaven.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

To make men free of all besides Thyself, and cause them to approach unto Thee and sever themselves from all but Thee. Verily Thou art the Powerful, the Precious, the Compassionate.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

Then kindle, O my Beloved, in their hearts the flame of Thy love, till it shall burn away the memory of all save Thee, that they may testify with themselves that verily Thou hast dwelt from everlasting on the heights of immortality, that nothing hath been joined with Thee, and that Thou ever art as Thou hast been. There is no God save Thee, the Mighty, the Beneficent.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

And those among Thy servants who seek to ascend the heights of Thy singleness, if their souls be set on the remembrance of aught else save Thee, they shall not be true believers in the unity of God, nor will the rank of a follower of the oneness of God be allotted them.
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!

The glory be to Thee, O my God, for as long as Thy command endureth. Wherefore send Thou down from the clouds of Thy Mercy that which shall cleanse the hearts of Thy lovers, and sanctify the souls of Thy friends.

Then raise them up in Thy Loftiness, and give them the victory over all on earth; for this is that which “We have desired to bring honor upon those who were brought low in the land, and to make them leaders of men, and to make them our heirs.”
Glory to Thee, O God, O Thou who art God,

O Thou who alone art God!
